We are in Provence (Gard) in the South of France, close
to the mediæval town of Uzès and within easy
reach of Nîmes, Avignon, Pont du Gard, the Camargue,
the Mediterranean and the mountains of the Cévennes
and Ardèche.
The perfect place to stay while discovering all the delights
that this blissfully unspoilt part of France has to offer.
The
mas nestles at the foot of the charming mediaeval village
of Lussan.
We
invite you to experience the tranquility and sense of timelessness
of our magnificent ancient Provençal mas, an idyllic place
to stay at any time of the year. Its serenity and peace will
charm you the moment you step inside its spectacular inner
courtyard.
For
more than five centuries the mas has nestled at the foot of
the village of Lussan, perched high on its stone crag. Built
of local honey-colourd limestone and set in 3 hectares of
stunningly lovely gardens and natural grounds, all around
is rolling, beautifully unspoilt countryside.
We
have spared no expense in restoring this ancient place with
every care taken to preserve its unique character, creating
a very special place to stay. With year-round golden
sunshine, crystal clear air and timeless surroundings you
will be assured the warmest welcome and unforgettable memories.
Two
completely independent gîtes have been created within
the two end towers, linked by a roofed terrace overlooking
the courtyard garden. The house – our home throughout
the year - forms one side of the courtyard, and includes a
comfortable and charming chambre d’hôte.
Furnished
with style and equipped to the highest standards, the gîtes
and chambre d’hôte are available to rent separately or together
at any time of year. The whole mas set in its gorgeous gardens
makes a fabulous setting for a wedding or large family holiday.
We
are committed to providing our guests with the warmest welcome,
superb accommodation and unique hospitality to ensure a truly
memorable stay. We invite our gîte guests to join us for supper
the evening they arrive, giving an opportunity to meet in
a relaxed and informal setting, to sample some of the superb
local organic produce and find out about all the things the
guide books leave out.

In the interests of other guests, especially children - and
ourselves - the whole property is strictly No Smoking. It
is not only our personal preference, it is a requirement of
our insurance, so if this will cause a problem to any smokers
in your party we would be pleased to suggest alternative accommodation
within the area.
