
Saffron from Lussan
Lussan is a historical land of saffron harvest, this refined spice that sublimates flavours, enhances tastes, harmonises and colours dishes.

We grow more than 15,000 bulbs on our saffron field.

We harvest, prune and dry more than 45,000 flowers by hand.

Our Organic Safran has been labelled category 1, the best quality according to the ISO/DIS 3632-1 standard by a French Independent Laboratory.




The Saffron and us
For a while the word Saffron was in our heads.
After some hesitations, our saffron master diploma in the pocket we decided to get started...
Goodbye daily grind....

And Hello, rake, bucket and cord.
A small test in 2024 has finished convincing us, in 2025 we are creating the largest Organic Safranière in Lussan (and the only one...).
And so here we are, Safranier from father to son for almost 1 year.
We of course invite you to come and meet us to discover our shop of processed products (jams, jellies, oils, syrups...) and Saffron in filaments (for guided tours of the Safranière please notify the day before by email). The shop is open all week except Saturday. We can't wait to share this passion with you and why not give birth to vocations because we market our organic bulbs to professionals, but also to individuals.
From October 15, you can come and discover with us, the hand harvesting and pruning, and understand why this mythical flower has become the most expensive spice in the world!
